Impartiality in Media was described by none other than Thomas Friedman, the award-winning Foreign Affairs columnist for the New York Times. He honestly revealed this over the opening session of the second Arab Media Summit at Dubai held in April 2002: "I'm paid to have an opinion, paid to be subjective and not objective, I'm paid to be biased, as it were." He spoke on behalf of most of his fraternity.

   Victor Otrovsky  a former Mossad case officer, him of 'The Making and Unmaking of a Mossad Officer' and 'The Other Side of Deception'. In one of his papers titled "The Otrovsky files", he talked about, 'How the IDF Intelligence Community Used the Media To Manipulate Israeli Public Opinion Against Iran'² . He wrote that according to a major Israeli daily, Ha’aretz, a reporter was contacted by his source in Amman who bluntly asked the reporter to reprint an article on Iran that had been published in an Arabic newspaper. “Republication of such material helps us as it reaches the decision makers directly,” the Israeli military intelligence officer had told the journalist. When asked by the reporter how he could be sure the article was true, the intelligence officer responded impatiently that he knew it was true because it was he who supplied the report to the Arabic paper in the first place. A second officer present for that exchange boasted that he manages to get articles published regularly in Al Watan in Paris, and in Foreign Report in London ². Now Think about this news item on CNN.com: Al-Jazeera offers accounts of 9/11 planning. The whole news item ends by accounts and quotes attributed to Ramzi Binalshibh, described in the documentary as the "coordinator of the September 11 operation", Ramzi describes watching the attacks with others: "The brothers shouted, Allah-u-Akbar, thanks to God, and cried. Everyone thought that this was the only operation. We said to them, 'Wait, wait!!'" 

Al Jazeera has finally provided proof of Bin Laden's complicity. Something even Bush Administration failed to do convincingly.

   Conspiracy theories - as the name suggests, are hard to prove but easy to sustain. Even after ages have passed, some conspiracy theories remain what they were ages ago. Conspiracy theories. 

   JFK assassination,  who did it? Diana's accident, who caused it? 9-11 - How did it happen?...and many more.

   Let's take the case of JFK. Since November 22, 1963 many have spent vast amounts of time researching the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, putting forth a wide variety of theories.

Most of the research has been devoted to what one more perceptive critic described as "a consuming preoccupation [with] the micro analytic searching for facts of how the assassination was accomplished," while at the same time, he points out "there has been almost no systematic thinking on why President Kennedy was killed."

   So while people have focused on how many assassins were involved, and how many shots they fired at JFK and where the shots came from and where the bullets hit, the real question of who was ultimately responsible for the assassination-not who fired the bullets, but who sponsored the assassins who fired those bullets-has been ignored. It's known that by mid-1963 Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion hated Kennedy with a passion. In fact, he considered JFK a threat to the very survival of the Jewish State. 

The murder of American President John F. Kennedy brought to an abrupt end the massive pressure being applied by the U.S. administration on the government of Israel to discontinue it's secret nuclear program. Cohen demonstrates at length the pressures applied by Kennedy on Ben-Gurion in one of his books. He brings the fascinating exchange of letters between the two, in which Kennedy makes it quite clear to the Israeli prime minister that he will under no circumstances agree to Israel becoming a nuclear state. When Cohen released his 1999 book Israel and the Bomb (New York: Columbia University Press), the book created quite a sensation in Israel. Cohen describes how the conflict between JFK and Ben-Gurion was reaching its pinnacle in 1963 and how, on June 16 of that year, JFK sent a letter to the Israeli leader that Cohen says on page 134 of his book was "the toughest and most explicit message" till then.

   It's indeed interesting to study that upon JFK's assassination, American policy toward the Middle East did an amazing 180 degree turn-about--the most immediate result of the American president's murder. This is a cold, hard, indisputable fact not subject to debate. The evidence is all too clear.  By 1963 John F. Kennedy was not only at war with Israel and the Meyer Lansky Organized Crime Syndicate, but he was also at war with their close ally in the international intelligence underworld-the CIA. Final Judgment shows that Israel's chief contact at the CIA, the Soviet-hating James Jesus Angleton, ultimately played a pivotal role in the JFK assassination conspiracy cover-up. The murder of JFK saw Lyndon B Johnson take over as a new president of USA and never again the issue of Israeli status as a nuclear power was ever raised.

  In the words of Noam Chomsky³, "When a new administration comes into office, it receives a review of the world situation compiled by the intelligence agencies.  It is secret; we learn about these things many years later.  But when Bush #1 came into office in 1989, a small part of the review was leaked, a passage concerned with “cases where the U.S. confronts much weaker enemies” – the only kind one would  think of fighting.  Intelligence analysts advised that in conflicts with “much weaker enemies” the US must win “decisively and rapidly,” or popular support will collapse.  It’s not like the 1960s, when the population would tolerate a murderous and destructive war for years without visible protest.   That’s no longer true.  The activist movements of the past 40 years have had a significant civilizing effect.  By now, the only way to attack a much weaker enemy is to construct a huge propaganda offensive depicting it as about to commit genocide, maybe even a threat to our very survival, then to celebrate a miraculous victory over the awesome foe, while chanting praises to the courageous leaders who came to the rescue just in time".

   That was the scenario which prevailed in the media pre-Iraq invasion.

   Who's the loser in this all? Even the dumbest amongst literates will know that it is a common Muslim trying to make his ends meet, oblivious of world politics and it's policies. Who's rejoicing? Foremost amongst them all are 'Hindutvavaadis' of Indian and 'Zionists' of Israeli origins. Each suicide attack is like a prayer come true for them. Gives them reasons and excuse to come down more heavily upon their innocent Muslim population.

  There is another theory doing the rounds amongst mainly Muslim and some other intellectual circles and that is the WTC terrorists were in fact Israelis and with their American co-conspirators, they are still living in relative safety, whereas innocent people have been killed by the thousands, thousands have been arrested and harassed and hundreds are suffering by the hands of American persecutors in the American dungeons of terror. An article in USA Today⁴ makes mockery of the Muslim world by reporting that "many in the Muslim world are endlessly chewing over and recycling unsubstantiated rumors that implicate Israel. They're saying, for example, that:- A group of five Jews was arrested shortly following the attacks after being spotted videotaping the crashes on a New York rooftop and dancing in jubilation."
  Now this unsubstantiated report of Israelis being spotted videotaping the crashes had found it's way at, none other than ABC News on June 21st 2002, when it reported about Israeli Intelligence men detained and deported from USA as they were working in America as spies for Israel. The report cited an Eyewitness Maria as stating that the five Israeli detainees appeared very happy to witness the WTC terror: "They were like happy, you know … They didn't look shocked to me. I thought it was very strange," she had said. The report is not to be found either online or in ABC Archives anymore but I had saved it on my disk then and I'll link a snapshot of it. As to what they were doing on the van, the spies had said that 'they read about the attack on the Internet, couldn't see it from their offices and went to the parking lot for a better view'. But no one has been able to find a good explanation for why they may have been smiling with the towers of the World Trade Center burning in the background. Both the lawyers for the young men and the Israeli Embassy chalk it up to immature conduct. According to ABCNews sources, Israeli and U.S. government officials worked out a deal — and after 71 days, the five Israelis were taken out of jail, put on a plane, and deported back home. How convenient and fishy when you see Muslims still languishing in US jail for having their first name as 'Usama'. Also compare this with the case involving an American-born former U.S. Government employee Jonathan Pollard, who was convicted in 1987 of spying for Israel and sentenced to life in prison. One might cite a dozen differences between the two cases if one needs to defend the above case of silent deportation of these five Israelis caught and freed post 9-11, but bottom line is: The whole WTC spectacle and related developments are something, indeed very fishy, very shady. 

   A convincing case (with numerous web references supporting his argument) that the Twin Towers did not collapse because of the fires has been given by J. McMichael: 

Using jet fuel to melt steel is an amazing discovery, really. ...  Ironworkers fool with acetylene torches, bottled oxygen, electric arcs from generators, electric furnaces, and other elaborate tricks, but what did these brilliant terrorists use? Jet fuel, costing maybe 80 cents a gallon on the open market.

... heating steel is like pouring syrup onto a plate: you can't get it to stack up.  The heat just flows out to the colder parts of the steel, cooling off the part you are trying to warm up. ...  Am I to believe that the fire burned all that time, getting constantly hotter until it reached melting temperature [1538°C, not 800°C as was reported]? Or did it burn hot and steady throughout until 200,000 tons of steel [the amount of steel in one of the Twin Towers] were heated molten — on one plane load of jet fuel?  ...  — Muslims Suspend Laws of Physics!  Part I

In a sequel to this article J. McMichael writes:  

... the maximum temperature in the unprotected steel supports in those test fires [in the U.K., Japan, the U.S. and Australia] was 360 degrees C (680 F), and that is a long way from the first critical threshold in structural steel, 550 degrees C (1022 F). ... I think the case is made: The fire did not weaken the WTC structure sufficiently to cause the collapse of the towers.  — Muslims Suspend Laws of Physics!  Part II

   In fact all of the so-called experts who claim to explain the collapse of the Twin Towers as a result of the plane impacts and the fires are merely guessing, due mainly to the destruction of the evidence, and are simply offering reasons (insufficient as they are) to believe the official story (as many people want to do). For some examples of these so-called experts' ignorance of what they are talking about, as well as a lack of consensus in their "explanations", see Eric Hufschmid's: 'When nobody knows nothing, Everybody is an expert'.   

  It is  also interesting to note that the contractor whose people were the first on the WTC collapse scene — to cart away the rubble that remains — is the same contractor who demolished and hauled away the shell of the bombed Oklahoma City Murrah building. The name of the contractor is Controlled Demolition!. Could there be more of a connection between these two building collapses than the identity of the contractor who supervised the removal of the debris? With great swiftness we saw the debris of WTC being sent offshore and sold out to international Scrap dealers without even a part of it being subjected to any kind of forensic examination. 30000 tonnes of it landed on Indian shores and other Third World countries despite protests by Indian Citizens Group and overriding Health concerns arising out of such toxic waste. Who cares till the time that none of the scrap is ever found out again on American shores and ever gets subjected to any examination? Just imagine, whole of North America and they couldn't find any space for dumping the WTC debris especially when several islands in the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea are dependent territories of the United States and some which are totally uninhabited, namely:  Baker Island, Howland Island or Kingman Reef , to name a few. What was the urgency in selling off the debris, so fast, so soon? We all know the impossibility of finding any remnants of WTC scrap in chaotic Third World countries, should a need ever arises again for Forensic examination. Compare this with the efforts undertaken to salvage Columbia shuttle debris.

   Yet another failure of Muslims nations, who lack the political will and conviction to catch the bull by the horns. The least they could have done is to ask their own forensic or some non-governmental but adequately funded agency, to simulate this aspect of WTC disaster. They could have started by dumping in two loads of Jet fuel into a building and then put it on fire by doing a mild detonation on it's top floors to simulate a plane hit and then show it's outcome on the world satellite channels. It might not have been a hundred floors skyscraper but I am sure they can afford to damage a 50-60 levels tall building in order to partially discredit a theory which has put World Muslims on defensive. Don't they even have this much of spare money? At least, non-Muslim, democratic Indian forensics did their job by simulating the Godhra bogey incident.

   We all know that in the absence of any irrefutable evidence, people come up with their own conspiracy theories against the government's versions. Former President John F. Kennedy's murder is a good example. The U.S. government failed to provide any irrefutable evidence in support of its conspiracy theory that it was Lee Harvey Oswald who was the sole conspirator and murderer. There, multiple conspiracy theories arose, many books have been written on the topic, movies have been produced and articles have been written. It appears that the WTC and Pentagon destruction is going to see the same fate and the real perpetrators will continue to enjoy their freedom for another terror and this time they will frame local Muslim Americans. The next terror is expected to be much greater than 9-11 because the Israelis and their American co-criminals have not achieved their goals completely yet,  that is, removing Muslims from the West under the conditions of inquisition and ethnically cleansing the whole of Palestine areas. Five years ago I was talking to Muslim Americans about a fifteen-year window of opportunity to change their environment in America by outreach projects to prevent hatred against them in the West, but this window has become much narrower now – they may not have ten years but only a few. 

   Same were my apprehensions about Muslims in India. Those who know of the happenings in Gujarat (India) last year, would most definitely realize the threat to Indian Muslims too. Godhra train killings by "Muslim", cited as equivalent to 9/11 provocation are just as relevant. Muslims provoked Hindus by burning a bogie full of them, incensing Hindus ire, who then went on a looting, raping and killing spree of almost 2000 Muslims.

   After all, aren't the Muslims obliged to kill all 'infidels' by their God in Koran? So, we (Hindus,Christians,Jews et.al) better get them first, goes the basics of all ultra-nationalist ideologies. But wait! here also we have some very relevant questions being pushed under the carpet. Why did the Indian Right Wing government, immediately after the Godhra tragedy, state that the ISI (Pakistani Intelligence Agency) had planned it, and why months later did it say it had not? How could the riots be pre-planned, for which considerable evidence has been adduced, while the event that provoked them was not? Why can't the government furnish the names and identities of the victims? After these questions were raised, the Ahmedabad-based Forensic Science Laboratory proved that the railway carriage was set afire from inside. The outside doors of the burnt bogie were locked. The arsonists therefore could only have entered the compartment through the corridor from the adjoining bogie? How did a Muslim mob pass through unprotesting 50 odd kar sevaks and burn alive inmates of the adjoining bogie? The Eastern Railway bifurcation dispute between Mamata Banerjee( India's Ex-Railways Minister) and Nitish Kumar (Indian present Railways Minister) uncovered more dirt. Mamata claimed that she had seen the forensic report. She accused Nitish of holding back the passenger list to curry favour with the BJP . In response, Nitish disclosed before Parliament that only much later than the incident happened, did the investigators ask his ministry for the reserved passenger list. Till today the reserved passengers has not been questioned! Fifty-eight passengers died at Godhra. Only four among them were reserved passengers. Nineteen remained unidentified. Thirty-five charred non-reserved passengers, therefore, were 'identified' by the government.

Who were they? We still don't know this a year above after the tragedy. Fat chances are, we'll never know.

As of this writing in March 2003, the Gujarat state government has charged 131 Muslims for the Godhra attack against Hindus that sparked the anti-Muslim violence. All were charged under the draconian Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA). But no Hindus have been charged under POTA in connection with the post-Godhra violence against Muslims. Although the Indian government initially boasted of thousands of arrests following the attacks, most of those arrested have since been released on bail, acquitted or simply let go. According to local activists, those who remain in jail largely belong to Dalit (so-called untouchable), Muslim or tribal communities. Due to manipulations in the filing of charge sheets, the instigators and ringleaders of the attacks may escape prosecution altogether. The criminal laws applied around the World show the extent of the bias in the legal system, both in India and abroad. The rule of law has become draconian for Muslims and simply nonexistent for others. 

But one might argue again, 'What about confessions of Muslim priests and terrorists where they seem to speak like a canary, about their criminal escapades?' It is commonly recognized that the extraction of confessions, or information which may ensure an arrest, is the most likely reason for the use of torture. This is due to the fact that confessions, under ordinary or Emergency legislation, are permitted in a court of law. Another is that an arresting officer has to produce a suspect before a magistrate within 24 hours in India. This law was initiated to protect the rights of a citizen, however, because police practice seems to be arrest first then gather evidence the law puts immense pressure on the arresting officer to secure a conviction in very little time; if the suspect confesses then there is less work for the officer. In the following interview J. Singh retold of his treatment after he was picked up by police in 1992 because of his peaceful campaigning on behalf of a Sikh political party in India: "A few days later they arrested me again, under Piara Singh, SHO of Lambra. When taken to the police station I was stripped naked. They opened my legs very wide, as far as they could, and stood on my thighs and kicked me with their boots. I was nearly unconscious. They beat me with their belts 50-60 times."

Do this once or twice on any law abiding innocent citizen and see him confess to being Osama's Right Hand lieutenant belonging to one of his sleeper cells and planning to blow up both Vajpayee and Bush in one go. 

   And finally, the current trend en vogue, i.e. to defame and levy accusations of being unpatriotic towards anybody and everybody who dares to criticize self-proclaimed 'nationalist' governments, reminds me one of Dr. Samuel Johnson's sayings: "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."

I can almost hear you say: "Your level of imagination just makes me want to scream. It's all about Mad Mullah fanatics and their conspiracy theories". 

Both Cases Closed!
